This weekend was a very fall-filled weekend for me. On Saturday, I went to the UNC vs. Clemson football game, which was a lot of fun. UNC actually won, too, which was great. If you see the large cranes in the photo above, this is where they set off fireworks every time UNC scores a touchdown. They are also doing construction on that side of the stadium (slated to be completed next fall) which will supposedly be luxury alumni seats known as the "blue zone."

On Sunday, I continued a weekend of fall-related activities by visiting a corn maize in Rougemont, NC with some other UNC grad students. It was a lovely sunny day and it was great to get outside for a few hours and enjoy the weather... even if, at 85 degrees, it still feels a lot more like summer than fall around here! In the photo at right, you can see the corn "maize" from the outside... the actually maze is on the far right of the photo.
Last night, I was also pleasantly surprised to arrive back at my apartment and find a package sitting on my doorstep! It was a very nice care package from my Aunt Marilyn and was filled with a lot of special goodies. Yummy!
Tonight, I am working in the Reading Room in my department's building trying to finish up some schoolwork for tomorrow and the coming week... I guess such is the life of a graduate student!
