Yesterday I went to my first non-Big 10 College Football game here at UNC's Kenan Stadium. I went to the bookstore and bought the special $5 "game day" shirt just so I would have appropriate "Carolina blue" clothing to wear to the game. I was even invited to a tailgate!
Even though football at UNC isn't as much as much of a "big deal" as it is at Penn State, I still had a lot of fun. It was nice to get to know some of my fellow planners a little bit better and experience (albeit on a much smaller scale) the camaraderie and team spirit that I enjoyed so much at Penn State. It was also fun to see some of my new planning peers (many of whom went to small liberal arts colleges without football teams) experience tailgating and football for the first time.
